This website is dedicated to the study and application of living metaphors – the patterns of life, to computer systems and human organizations.

The main Goals of this project are to study:

The patterns of life

Conceptual and theoretical models for the application of Complexity Science in computing and human organizations

practical applied self-organization in software and teams

WILD PREDICTIONS:

1)       There will be a time in the near future where artificial life will be common applied technology.

2)       Entire trillion dollar markets will be created around this new technology.  This technology eventually will be considered normal computing.

3)       All human organizations will try to emulate the patterns of life -- from Governments and its institutions, to entire companies to software teams.

4)       Complexity Principles will be taught at the same level as Basic Language skills (e.g. reading and writing in English) and Mathematics.

Software Agility can be understood as the application of the patterns of life to software and software development

This will turn into a book at some point, but as of now, I haven’t talked to a publisher and therefore it is just a living document trying to self-organize itself J.
